Job Description:
Senior ServiceNow HRSD Developer
Location: Fully remote. Client is in Homewood, AL
Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire
Industry: healthcare
Candidates must be able to work without sponsorship now or in the future.
There are absolutely no C2C options for this permanent, direct hire role.
Reporting to the ServiceNow Platform Manager, the Senior ServiceNow HRSD Developer is responsible for the full software development lifecycle of complex ServiceNow HRSD solutions. This involves collaborating with teams to understand their needs, translating those needs into technical specifications, and then designing, developing, testing, and deploying solutions that streamline HR processes, improve employee experiences, and increase efficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy new HRSD solutions and enhancements, including managing bi-annual upgrades to ensure the platform remains up-to-date and optimized
  • Handle all aspects of the development process, from gathering requirements and designing solutions to testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Work closely with HR stakeholders and IT teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective ServiceNow HRSD solutions.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using industry best practices (e.g., LDAP, REST, SOAP, APIs).
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for ServiceNow configurations and customizations.
  • Develop custom applications using ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, scripting (JavaScript), and implement advanced workflows, business rules, scripts, and user interfaces using ServiceNow tools and APIs.
  • Ensure code quality through code reviews and adherence to coding standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, diagnose problems, and provide solutions for optimal platform performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest ServiceNow features and functionalities.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to other team members.

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform and a minimum of 3 years HRSD experience is required.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, its core functionality, and best practices for developing and maintaining HRSD solutions.
  • Experienced creating and maintaining engaging content for the HR Service Delivery portal, such as banners, widgets, and topic pages, to ensure employees can easily access the information and services they need.
  • Possess experience configuring and improving automated workflows in ServiceNow HRSD to streamline key employee lifecycle events such as onboarding, transfers, and offboarding.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A passion for continuous learning

ServiceNow Certifications or Experience
  • Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA)
  • Human Resources (CIS-HR)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices
