Salary: $22-$28 per hour

Summary:

RPI Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Quality Test Technician to join our quality control team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the functionality and quality of our electronic products by performing comprehensive testing procedures, analyzing data, and identifying potential issues. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for electronics and a strong understanding of quality control principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up electronic systems and devices according to test plans and procedures.
  • Assemble and connect system components (e.g., cables) following established protocols.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of system functionality and meticulously analyze the collected data.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions in circuitry and other system components to identify root causes.
  • Effectively interpret complex technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Document test results, findings, and corrective actions with clarity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers and other technical staff to resolve quality concerns.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment for system assembly, repair, and testing (e.g., soldering iron, hand tools, diagnostic software).
  • Possess basic programming knowledge to interact with test equipment or software.
  • Perform final inspections of finished goods to ensure compliance with quality program specifications.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork associated with testing procedures and results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field (preferred) or minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with electronic testing equipment and circuitry troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in using various tools and equipment commonly found in electronics labs.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and PC-based diagnostic software.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise assembly and repair tasks.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents (blueprints, schematics).
  • Working knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711, IPC-001) is a plus.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime hours (paid at time and a half).
