The Estimator is one of our most vital roles. Is your current company using your estimating knowledge wisely or giving you the necessary tools to be the best? We're a forward-thinking GC looking to enhance the SW Florida commercial construction market with our unique approach to improving an outdated industry. We need a few key team members with an entrepreneurial spirit and eagerness to contribute. We utilize the most innovative tools our industry has to offer combined with a deliberate approach that will allow a good estimator to become great.

Responsibilities other than being an awesome co-worker:

  • Manage bid process from document intake to project turnover
  • Analyze drawings and project documentation, perform a constructability analysis through the identification of design and constructability issues
  • Obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals relative to their scope of work. Determine if the scope is covered and manage the risk of scope gaps
  • Prepare quantity take-offs
  • Assemble bids & budgets for the entire scope of trades and proposals for different contract types (Lump Sum, GMP, Cost Plus, Design Build)
  • Provide feedback to all subcontractors and vendors regarding the status of an award
  • Collect feedback from the client regarding the competitiveness of our bid
  • Store bid information in appropriate files


The successful applicant should have most of these:

  • Communication skills, proactive systematic approach to work
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Construction Management or Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of estimating experience preferably with a Commercial General Contractor
  • Knowledge of ProEst, Procore, and BuildingConnected applications preferred
  • Ability to work on multiple estimates simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong math skills
  • Organized
  • Hard-working
  • Knowledge of the SWFL submarket
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule
