The IFA Foundation, the 501(c)(3) arm of the International Franchise Association, aims to support the Association’s efforts to protect, enhance, and promote franchising. Through a robust suite of education, mentorship, research, and storytelling programs, the Foundation strives to grow and strengthen the franchise community. Our work includes core programs, such as the Diversity Institute, Franchise Ascension Initiative, Franchising Gives Back, Open for Opportunity, VetFran, and numerous scholarship and research programs.

The Manager, Foundation Programs, will provide robust, cross-functional support in the implementation of Foundation development and strategy initiatives. This position will play a pivotal role in streamlining administration, communications, and donor engagement across programs and will also manage day-to-day activities for a small portfolio of Foundation programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate Foundation donor engagement & stewardship activities

  • Manage the implementation of new processes and systems to ensure timely collection on donor financial commitments, recognition of contributions, and tracking of donor activities and communications.
  • Provide tailored donor communications and stewardship strategies to increase engagement retention, and satisfaction.
  • Manage periodic fundraising campaigns, virtual and in-person events, and other annual and ad hoc fundraising activities.
  • Support the buildout of new technology platforms, including Salesforce, for donor prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship.

Support implementation of Foundation programs

  • Lead cross-program stakeholder communication efforts, including regular Foundation communications, such as the monthly newsletter, inbox, website, social media.
  • Support day-to-day activities for a small portfolio of Foundation programs, including Open for Opportunity, scholarships, and research.
  • Support program leads in the delivery of key, cross-cutting program elements, including data management, communications, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Provide data, analytics, and insights on key priorities in support of ongoing reporting to key stakeholders.

Manage cross-cutting, multi-stakeholder Foundation initiatives

  • Support the development and execution of operational and administrative systems to streamline Foundation workflow.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in:

  • Nonprofit program management, fundraising, communications, and/or events.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with diverse audiences.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience required.
