The BI Developer will work closely with the Manager of Business Intelligence, developers, and various subject-matter experts (SMEs) to design and optimize data solutions. This role focuses on creating and refining T-SQL queries that power key reports and analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze diverse technical and healthcare-related data, systems, and processes.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for new developments, updates, and enhancements.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot T-SQL scripts for reporting purposes.
  • Understand data workflows and end-user requirements to validate results and address discrepancies.
  • Design and implement data visualizations, such as dashboards, using MS Power BI and Power Apps.
  • Support and create Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to ensure efficient data flow.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Epidemiology).
  • Proficiency in technical skills, particularly in SQL and/or statistical or object-oriented programming languages.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office suite expertise.

Preferred:

  • Two years of experience with T-SQL, especially in reporting and data aggregation.
  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or similar reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with process automation tools (e.g., VBA, PowerShell, Python, C#).
  • Experience with statistics, particularly using R or SAS.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
  • Ability to explain data analyses to non-technical, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with data warehousing is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools like SharePoint or MS Teams.
