Job Description
This role is for a person nearing subject matter expert level professional performance in the area of IT Systems Administration and Engineering of technical projects; performing in this functional capacity over classified engineering networks and special test equipment in labs. Though you will not be a functional manager you will be expected to lead technical execution efforts and/or teams.
System administration of heterogeneous networks including Windows 10/11, Windows Server based domains, and Linux distributions.
Manage operating system cyber compliance, upgrades, and patching (Windows/Linux)
Perform guidance and management for hardware, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance on multiple architectures.
Ensure the integrity and availability of applications as well as coordinate new application installations, upgrades, and customer support in classified areas.
Responsible for implementing effective backup/recovery, resource accounting, and auditing procedures.
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on varied IT hardware (PCs, printers, laptops, etc.).
Gathers system security design requirements with stakeholders and develops architecture.
Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures.
Full-time onsite role, working the majority of the day in closed areas.

Basic Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance
ship required at this facility
Ability to lift 30 pounds
Must possess a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 qualified certificate
Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems
Experience with Windows operating systems
Install operating system security patches and firmware updates
Create/manage security groups
Coordinate hardware repair activities
Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems/issues
Create scripts to automate system administration tasks
Create/edit Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) documentation
Desired skills
Expertise with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Expertise with Windows Server OS
Expertise administering virtual machines with VMWare ESXi
Perform successful root cause analysis for problem resolution in Unix and Linux environments
Performing routine server/workstation patching per guidelines
Advanced proficiency in scripting (shell/Ansible/Powershell)
Successfully install server and associated hardware
Successfully install/configure software applications and programs
Provide support to operations groups requiring off-shift and possible travel
Provide IT support in a multi-functional environment that includes software support, network and server administration
Managing servers in a disconnected environment
Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management [i.e., Nessus, Trellix, Splunk, SCAP])
Possess valid 8140 certifications or be able to obtain certifications within 90 days of hire date.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
