The Supply Chain Data Analytics team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Architect to support the team by designing, building, and maintaining automation tools, APIs and data infrastructure required for data analysis reporting. You will be part of the team that is the key point of contact for reporting, analytics, and insights-generation with the aim to drive continuous improvements and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Tesla' supply chain. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders and data analysts in supply chain to gather requirements, develop automation tools and data pipelines, and implement solutions that enable data-driven insights and decision-making. The candidate must possess strong technical and problem-solving skills, a sharp business focus, a collaborative style of working, and a proactive and critical mindset. Additionally, excellent interpersonal, and communication skills are crucial, as is the ability to synthesize complex issues and drive desired outcomes. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for software development and data engineering, continuously demonstrating an ability to tackle complex problems and implement solutions. Flexibility and adaptability are key attributes for success at Tesla, given the fast-moving and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Build automation tools including web applications and APIs to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Design, develop and maintain a robust data pipeline infrastructure to collect and store data from diverse sources. Implement and maintain automated processes for seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of supply chain data
  • Develop and maintain an optimal database schema to support supply chain data analytics and reporting
  • Implement data quality and data governance processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of automation tools to ensure scalability, reliability, and security
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the supply chain to understand their data requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs
  • Apply out of the box thinking, communicate effectively, and handle multiple project timelines effectively

Requirements
  • Degree in a quantitative field such as, but not limited to, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • Proficient in software development, including building APIs and automation tools, and data engineering with 2-4 years of full-time work experience in a related area
  • Good understanding of database engineering concepts, relational databases, database schema design for read and write performance, and query optimization
  • Experience creating, managing and optimizing ETL pipelines using workflow management tools such as Airflow
  • Proficient with Python, and experience creating full stack applications using React and Flask is a plus
  • Experience with DevOps including tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes is preferred
  • Strategic thinking and good communication skills with the ability to present complex topics in a clear and concise manner

      $80,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
