Engineering Technician, Bring Up, Hardware Engineering

The Dojo Supercomputing team is seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to bring up systems for research and development. As an Engineering Technician, you will be monitoring and maintaining test systems for hardware development. You will also be working with Engineers and other Technicians debugging hardware, design and build test systems for hardware testing.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems, including chillers, power supplies, and other electro-mechanical/thermal devices
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical/electrical/thermal problems, using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to fabricate custom R&D fixtures developed in CAD
• Read and interpret build plans to develop processes, and technical manuals
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to design and implement modifications to equipment and systems
• Deploying data acquisition instruments, and communicating data results

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience as a mechanical/electrical technician or in a related field
• Strong knowledge of thermal, mechanical, and electrical systems
• Experience in operating through Linux OS
• Understanding of how to run scripts ie python, C, C++, bash etc.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, and technical manuals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to work on small delicate electronic components
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools

Expected Compensation

$24.40 - $56.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
