Help Desk Senior System Administrator

SCOPE

We are seeking an experienced Help Desk Senior System Administrator to join our

team in supporting the IT operations at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Directorate

of Public Works (DPW). The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience leading a

large, complex help desk and system administration function.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Must have Secret clearance or be able to obtain one
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing both servers and workstations in a large, complex IT environment.
  • Expertise in DoD Cyber Workforce requirements.
  • Ability to maintain DoD certifications as per DoDM 8570.01 and DoDM 8140.03.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • DoD Cyber Workforce (DCWF) baseline and Computing Environment Certifications IAW DoDM 8570.01 and DoDM 8140.03

TASKS

  • Provide support for servers and workstations, including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD Cybersecurity requirements.
  • Lead and manage help desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues.
  • Administer user accounts, security updates, and perform hardware/software upgrades.
  • Work closely with NEC and DPW to support IT infrastructure.
