Responsibilities
Ready to make an impact and be a part of our Nation's defense? Peraton is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to support Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), CA. In this role you will support the Eastern/Western Range Operational Communications Services (EWOCS) Contract. The successful candidate will understand current MDA needs and work with USG to manage future systems. The Configuration Management Engineer coordinates changes of product design with engineering and management teams. Determines and prepares documentation necessary for change. Provides support to Cyber team to manage documentation. Facilitates the release of drawings, and software configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups. In this position, the successful candidate will be familiar with office tools to aid in the sharing of information and coordination of activities, to include taking meeting minutes, and following up on action item status. As Configuration Management Engineer your efforts will directly support our Nations missile defense system communications that are employed on behalf of our client and USG.
The Journeyman Configuration Management Engineer will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
Documenting Planning and coordination of review meetings, to include taking meeting minutes
Facilitating Engineering Change Requests
Working with Chief Engineer, and Program Leadership to coordinate Engineering and Project Reviews.
Facilitating the process for development of Cost Estimates (ROMS), Bill of Materials BOMS, Basis of Estimates (BOE's), and Request for Proposal (RFPs)
Maintaining a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained for document control.
Collect and maintains files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define product configuration.
Attending and supporting meetings requested by the Government for quality audits.
Proactively ensure the completion of Peraton, Site, and/or Government directed training and tasks within the specified timelines.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Security clearance - this position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance and to maintain the clearance thereafter.
Experience: 0 years with BS/BA, or 2 years with AS degree; in lieu of degree, 4 years' experience may be considered.
Working knowledge of Systems Engineering and Configuration Management.
Ability to understand Engineering Drawings and Standards.
Demonstrated documentation control processes.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
MDA Expertise and Experience necessary to work directly with our MDA Government customer
Ability to read engineering drawing tools and application of standards.
Experience with Launch Range and Test System (LTRS), and MDA Test Programs.
Knowledge of Systems Engineering Principles (INCOSE Certified)
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
CMPIC Certification or equivalent
Strong and Proven Communication skills Target Salary Range
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
