3D Animator

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a 3D Animator in Venice, California. The role primarily involves creating 3D characters and rigs from pre-existing designs, with an emphasis on character rigging and lighting. The animator will work closely with the team to develop character movement gestures and ensure the execution of the project's vision.

Responsibilities:

Develop 3D characters and rigs based on existing flat designs
Create and implement simple character movements for client approval
Work collaboratively with team to understand and execute project vision
Ensure the creation of fully skinned and lighted character models
Utilize software such as Maya for rig and character development
Maintain a high standard of quality while working within a fast-paced environment
Use knowledge of Unreal to facilitate efficient character usage in the future
Deliver working files at the end of the project for future use
Possess the ability to potentially handle multiple characters simultaneously
Stay updated with the latest 3D animation trends and techniques to enhance work quality. Proficiency in 3D modeling techniques and software.
Extensive experience with 3D Studio Max.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Flash and Adobe Illustrator.
Proven track record in Animation, both in 2D and 3D formats.
Ability to create compelling Characters for various animation projects.
Skilled in Compositing and integrating animation sequences.
Solid understanding of Digital art and design techniques.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Passionate about the animation industry and up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies.
Must have a portfolio showcasing previous work in 3D animation.
