Akkodis is seeking Prod Support - Mainframe Mgmt for a Contract job with a client in Plano TX. The ideal candidate must have at least 1+ years of hands-on experience in application support, including working with tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace. The candidate will be responsible for managing incident resolution, coordinating with problem management, and ensuring timely updates to senior leadership, focusing on theswift restoration of production application issues.
Rate Range: $48/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Prod Support - Mainframe Mgmt job responsibilities include:
Monitoring and managing the mainframe environment to ensure system availability and performance.
Handling incident management and troubleshooting issues, ensuring quick resolution to minimize impact.
Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to address system errors, capacity, and performance concerns.
Performing root cause analysis for recurring issues and implementing preventive measures.
Supporting change management processes by coordinating and validating mainframe updates and patches.
Creating and maintaining detailed runbooks, documentation, and procedures for effective incident response.
Providing timely communication and updates to stakeholders, including senior management, on critical incidents and system statuses.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in mainframe management and production support.
Proficiency in monitoring and troubleshooting using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace. Experience with incident management, including using Remedy and JIRA for issue tracking.
Strong understanding of both server environments (Windows, Unix) and desktop systems (Windows core OS, Office suite). Ability to troubleshoot network-related issues using tools like Netscout.
Experience supporting .NET applications and familiarity with Debug Diag, IIS, IBM Operational Decision Manager, IBM WebSphere, PingFed/Access/Directory, Redis, and Cache coherence. ITIL Certification is preferred.

Pay Details: $48.00 to $58.00 per hour
