We are an IT Solution Provider located in the Southwest Suburbs. We provide outsourced IT services for small to midsize customers in Chicago and Surrounding Suburbs. We are a complete solution provider for Data Networks, Telephone Systems, and Security Systems.

Help Desk Specialist

In this help desk specialist opportunity, the ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring backups, and critical uptime of services. They will also be responsible for providing Windows based technical remote support to end-users on a variety of issues. Technical support will be from our office location in Mokena, IL. This support will involve analyzing alerts as well as helping end users with issues and upgrades remotely in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide telephone and remote support to end users

Track tickets and time in Connectwise Ticketing System

Install software updates and patches remotely

Analyze trouble alerts and tickets

Monitor service boards for alerts

Troubleshoot software applications

Create and maintain customer documentation

Upgrade hardware and software on PC s in Lab

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

2 yrs. experience in a help desk/desktop support environment

CompTIA A+ certification preferred

Ability to work well with internal staff and strong communication skills are a must

Hardware/software maintenance skills are required

Experience with Microsoft Windows 10,11

Experience with Microsoft Office

Experience with Windows Server 2019,2022

Experience with basic TCP/IP Networking

Experience with Microsoft Active Directory

Experience/Familiar with Connectwise trouble ticketing system

Experience with Wifi routers

Knowledge of Remote Desktop or other applications

Ability to multitask while staying focused in a fast-paced competitive environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work unsupervised

Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings

Compensation:

You will be hands on all the latest technologies. Firewalls, Switches, Routers, VMware, Server OS, Power, VOIP, Security, etc.

Hourly position 8:00-4:30 Monday thru Friday

Salary Range 40-45K based upon experience
