Purpose of Role:

We are seeking to hire a Full-time Litigation Assistant in Healthcare for the firm s Roseland, NJ office. This role plays a vital part in supporting our legal team by assisting with document preparation, managing legal document flow, and handling administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting data.
  • Review and verify correspondence, reports, and legal documents.
  • Draft letters, motions, briefs, table of contents, table of authorities, and other litigation documents.
  • Maintain attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions, and travel.
  • Enter attorney time entries by the allotted deadline.
  • Interface with clients; confirming meetings, requesting required documentation, etc.
  • Record and monitor court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements; monitoring evidence-gathering and deadlines.
  • E-file both via NJ E-courts as well as Federal Pacer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years related work experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience e-filing in both State (NJ/NY) and Federal courts.
  • Working knowledge of NetDocuments or similar document management application.
  • Experience using SurePoint or similar billing software.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word and Outlook; ability to quickly learn other applications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage workflow efficiently and accurately.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Experience with Best Authority software for creating tables of authorities.
