Data Analyst

II Corps (Second Corps) Consultants Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) focused on providing end-to-end training and education solutions to the federal government.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.

This is a hybrid-remote position based out of Alexandria, Virginia. Only open to candidates within a commutable distance of the work site.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts complex and detailed quantitative/quantitative statistical analysis, using statistical analysis software to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of programs and service delivery.
• Implement techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages; such as SQL and visualization software.
• Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Visualize, interpret, and report data findings in dynamic data reports.
• Develop statistical analysis plans and data management procedures using relational database principles, protocols, and methodology.
• Integrate and analyze data from many sources, including resolving data problems.
• Performs quantitative statistical analysis using complex analytic methods, including multiple regression, general linear model, correlation, t-test, creating composite variables, and longitudinal analysis.
• Performs qualitative statistical analysis of large datasets of written comments in order to identify themes and draw validated conclusions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience in Data/Business Analytics.
• Active Secret Clearance
• Expert knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Ability and experience to visualize, interpret, report data findings, and create dynamic data reports.
• Experience developing statistical analysis plans and data management procedures using relational database principles, protocols, and methodology. Ability and experience to integrate and analyze data from many sources, including resolving data problems.
• Experience conducting complex and detailed quantitative statistical analysis, using statistical analysis software such as SAS, to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of programs and service delivery.
• Experience with platforms such as Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau are highly desired.
• Ability and experience performing quantitative statistical analysis using complex analytic methods, including multiple regression, general linear model, correlation, t-test, creating composite variables, and longitudinal analysis.
• Ability to perform qualitative statistical analysis of large datasets of written comments in order to identify themes and draw validated conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in public (government) sector.
• 5+ years previous experience in a Data, Business, or Operations Analyst role.
