DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will perform skilled maintenance and repair activities at a journey level across a range of trades, including building, mechanical, masonry, plumbing, and electrical work. Your duties will necessitate proficiency in several trades, with the specific working conditions and degree of leadership responsibilities differing according to the location and assignment. The nature of your work will vary, allowing you to showcase your expertise and contribute to the overall maintenance and functionality of the facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time, seasonal, wage employment, typically works about 8 months per year.
  • This position does not provide health care benefits, nor the option to buy into group health care benefits.
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch, shift hours and days vary due to operational need.
  • Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 5 days, 37.5 hours per week as situations warrant

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.


Special Requirements:

  • This position will require possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.


Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
