Job description:

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

  • This position will support GREEN Charter School's IT Manager in providing direction, coordination, implementation, and support of technology across all GREEN school campus locations. This is a hands-on fast paced position that requires a candidate that is passionate about problem-solving, great at multitasking and building relationships. They will also need be able to work well independently and in a team environment. Be passionate about creating incredible systems to make GREEN the best technologically equipped Charter School there is.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three Years of professional IT experience required. Previous K12 experience is a major plus.
  • A+ Certification and CompTIA Network+ Preferred
  • 1 or more year s experience in:
    • Microsoft Windows Server (2019, 2022) including Active Directory
    • Microsoft Hyper-V
    • Microsoft 365 Azure Active Directory, Office 365, Endpoint Manager
    • Scripting for data retrieval, system maintenance, and task automation PowerShell
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, and subject matter experts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel will be required between all GREEN campuses, including Greenville, Spartanburg, Columbia, and Charleston. Overnight travel may be required at least once a month.
  • Champions all End User support requests and requirements across 6 Facilities within South Carolina.
  • Ensures that all support requests are handled in a timely manner through the IT Ticketing System.
  • Troubleshoots onsite technology issues that have to do with MFP printers, interactive boards, teacher devices and student issued Chromebook and iPads.
  • Responsible for the provisioning and setup of all end user devices which includes, Chromebooks, iPads, Laptops, Macbooks, Docking Stations, Monitors, and IP Phones.
  • Familiarity with MacOS and iOS devices is a major plus.
  • Will be responsible for maintaining MDM solutions to ensure the proper Administration of all Apple Products and will be responsible for training teachers best usage practices.
  • Assists the Systems Administrator with provisioning of Student and Staff Accounts.
  • Works with Systems Administrator to manage, support, and repair software applications such as Clever, Google and Microsoft Ecosystem, GoGuardian, Bark, Cisco Umbrella
  • Works alongside IT Manager to learn GREEN infrastructure and progressively take on more IT responsibilities.
  • Assist IT Manager with projects and researching new technologies when needed.
  • Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining documentation and how to s
  • Monitors systems and infrastructure to ensure 100% uptime is achieved.
  • Work with IT Manager and Systems Administrator to improve and consolidate software systems where necessary.
  • The Junior Systems Administrator will be required to respond to after-hours IT Emergencies.
  • Responsible for the proper disposal of old End of Life Workstations and devices.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Discover and fully grasp the current environment, to gain in-depth comprehension of the overall architectural design, including upstream / indirect components (switches, routing, firewalls, etc.)
  • Self-driven motivation to continuously learn and apply new technologies.
  • Prior Active Directory/Azure AD, and Workstation support experience is required.
  • Understands the importance of timely and professional responses to all support requests.
