As the Chief Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our organization by overseeing the estimation process for construction projects, ensuring accurate and competitive bids, and supporting our business growth through effective cost analysis and budgeting.
- Lead and manage the estimating team to develop comprehensive and accurate project cost estimates.
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine labor, material, and time requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Oversee the development of bid proposals and provide guidance on pricing strategies.
- Conduct risk analysis and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines during the estimation process.
- Participate in negotiations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Monitor market trends and pricing to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
- Provide accurate and timely budget forecasts and cost reports to support project planning and decision-making.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of estimators and cost analysts.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Sage Estimating).
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of project management principles and contract documents.
- Proven track record of successfully winning bids and delivering profitable projects.
