Actuarial Analyst II

About the job:

We are seeking a motivated Actuarial Analyst II to join our team in the Personal Auto and Homeowners Insurance pricing divisions. In this role, you will work on a range of projects that directly impact business growth and profitability. You will analyze pricing strategies, develop insights from rating variables, and contribute to decision-making processes to maintain competitive edge in the market.

What youll be doing:

  • Conduct pricing studies to evaluate the profitability of various insurance products.
  • Recommend pricing changes based on the analysis of rating variables.
  • Perform competitor analysis to stay up-to-date with market trends.
  • Collaborate with the Predictive Analytics team on modeling projects.
  • Support Marketing efforts by analyzing and providing insights on advertising ROI.
  • Analyze data from usage-based insurance (UBI) programs to recommend pricing adjustments.
  • Conduct trend analysis to track changes in claims frequency and severity.
  • Assess the impact of emerging technologies like crash-avoidance systems on Auto insurance claims.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in P&C (Property and Casualty) actuarial roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Actively pursuing ACAS or FCAS designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society.
