Secret cleared Sr Software Engineer

Our client, with locations across the US, is currently in need of a Secret cleared Sr Software Engineer for a 12 month contract to hire. The consultant will work remote with up to 10% travel possible in support of the design and development of software as part of DevOps solutions for cloud native applications at government clients. The consultant will work with internal stakeholders, external customer and users to design and maintain custom software solutions to meet their operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Work on interactive design projects that meet both user and operational objectives, while maintaining and supporting brand standards
  
• Evolve and help promote our solution and software systems
  
• Practice and facilitate human-centered design (design thinking) methodologies
  
• Develop highly available and highly scalable applications which will be used by both internal and external customers
  
• Support DevOps Engineers with software development

Required Skills:

• Active DoD Secret or higher clearance
  
• 8 or more years of professional services consulting or application development experience
  
• Ability to work with customers to gather requirements and present solutions
  
• Experience with software containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker
  
• Prior experience converting monolithic applications to microservices architecture in cloud native environments
  
• Bachelor's Degree
  
• Strong proficiency in C# and another programming language (e.g., React, JavaScript, Python, GO, C++, Spring, Java).
  
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  
• Solid experience with GitOps principles and tools (e.g., Argo CD, Flux)
  
• Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
  
• Work will be performed remotely, but there could be up to 10% travel. The goal is to keep it remote

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Dell products
  
• Experience with DevSecOps
  
• Exposure to standards like IRIG 106 (CH10, C, CH8, 1553, ARINC429), DARv3, TMATS, as well as SQL standards.
