C++ Engineer - HFT - URGENT HIRE

Our client, a top trading firm, are looking for a C++ Engineer to develop industry leading technologies in areas such as Execution and Exchange Connectivity. In this role, you'll work on impactful projects that directly influence the firm's daily performance, from crafting advanced execution strategies to building the robust frameworks that underpin the trading systems. As part of a fast-paced team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with traders, quants, and other engineers to design cutting-edge solutions and quickly see the tangible results of your work.

Key responsibilities:

• Enhance the speed, precision, and reliability of execution mechanisms, critical for the high-frequency and real-time trading environment.
• Work with traders to develop new execution strategies and refine existing ones. This could include optimising algorithms for trade execution to improve performance or reduce cost.
• Design and implement distributed systems capable of handling large amounts of data and processing it in real-time across global trading environments.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with modern C++ in a production environment; familiarity with C++20 is a plus.
• Ability to triage and resolve issues efficiently.
• Experience with low-latency development and performance optimization (preferred but not required for all areas).
• Experience in the trading industry is preferred but NOT required.
