Principal Accountabilities Of Position

The Community Engagement Liaison’s primary responsibility is to increase service lines and revenue stream for Community Resource Network of Florida through organic growth and new business opportunities within a specific geographic region.

ROLE OF THE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT LIAISON

The Community Engagement Liaison will coordinate and conduct all aspects of the sales and business development process in a specific region. This includes the tasks and processes to develop and implement growth opportunities within a specific Florida market region. Duties included but are not limited to identifying new markets to develop existing service lines and identifying new services within existing markets. The Community Engagement Manager will collaborate with the team to develop strategic rationale and initiative to advance growth. The person in this role must have a thorough understanding of I/DD services and human services in the state of Florida.

Essential Functions

  • Source, Qualify & Close Partnerships & Opportunities
  • Conduct sales and service calls on existing and potential clients to identify and solve problems as well as stimulate greater business opportunity
  • Build relationships at a variety of levels within active stakeholders
  • Join and actively participate in approved professional and industry organizations to develop personal skills and contacts for future business relationships and sales opportunities
  • Actively participates in monthly and quarterly provider meetings to gain updates and maintain a strong presence
  • Evaluate all opportunities in line with the company’s strategy within the Florida market
  • Communicate and collaborate with company leadership to assess growth opportunities and interests
  • Proactively respond to opportunities and strategize to advance
  • Apply company criteria checklist to determine appropriate next steps.
  • Qualify targets through on-line research, in-person, or telephone meetings
  • Schedule inquiry, discovery meetings with VSG acquisition/partnership team
  • Work in collaboration with VersiCare Group to foster communication with partner targets
  • Evaluate and Develop Organic Growth Opportunities
  • Research, identify and seek growth opportunities to expand existing service lines in designated region
  • Research and identify target geographic regions where CRN could provide services
  • Evaluate opportunities for growth in new regions and potential for additional service lines in line with the company’s strategy
  • Explore insurance carriers/programs and payers to consider company participation
  • Collaborate with company leadership to select opportunities that best fit growth plan
  • Sales Support Activity
  • Create business development plans to support company growth initiatives
  • Clearly articulate CRN and VersiCare Group value proposition to potential partners including culture and business strategies
  • Plan and create budget for seminars, meetings, and other relevant events to promote CRN throughout the designated service region and targeted service regions.
  • Attend networking events related to growth of CRN services
  • Analyze and monitor industry trends, competitive market development, and emerging services to chart course of potential growth
  • Manage all aspects of business development and opportunities in selected tracking software (including activity)
  • Remain up to date on state and federal mandates regarding the delivery of services
  • Remain current on status of funding, addition of/or changes to state health care programs.
  • Further company culture initiatives through community involvement and representation
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics/goals
  • Gather feedback to inform continuous improvement in service delivery
  • Expand Relationships and Presence in Florida Market
  • Expand Community Resource Network of Florida’s presence in Florida
  • Identify key contacts at state level agencies, foster relationships, and on-going communication
  • Work as a liaison between State and Federal agencies and CRN/VSG
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders within State, Region, APD, ACHA, AA, Local schools, Healthcare system, etc.
  • Marketing and Community Engagement
  • Align and execute marketing initiatives to enhance CRN growth strategy
  • Represent CRN at community activities, industry events, seminars, and other relevant advocacy opportunities
  • Support department initiatives agency wide such as recruiting, LSD programs, etc
  • Collaborate in creation of media content and marketing materials
  • Monitor use of logo and graphics ensuring consistency with CRN branding.
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to maintain CRN website and online presence
  • Work collaboratively with social media platforms
  • Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Operations
  • Provide input to assist in the creation of the branch’s annual forecast and 3-year budget
  • Review weekly and quarterly KPI’s to identify trends, anticipate obstacles and measure results
  • Monitor and analyze internal and external factors affecting service delivery
  • Develop, update, and implement policies and procedures as needed due to changes internally, increased efficiencies or new/modified rules & regulations in the industry
  • Communicate with team regarding referrals, other stake holder needs
  • Provide transition of referral to appropriate internal team to execute service delivery in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with team to ensure a professional office appearance and the safety of all employees and visitors
  • Administration and Compliance
  • Review contracts to ensure that CRN currently abides by the contract or can do so by implementing new policies
  • Remain current on governmental requirements pertaining to the delivery of the services CRN provides
  • Maintain compliance with contractual obligations with MCO’s, and other payers
  • Comply with HIPAA and other laws that govern the industry by staying current with changes and advising on policy as needed
  • Support developing and maintaining the Corporate Compliance Policy
  • Support implementing/monitoring audits for internal controls
  • Support team when working with auditing agencies from AHCA, APD, Qlarent or MCO organizations or accrediting agencies.
  • Assists with quality improvement plans
  • Support fraud investigations, cooperates in ensuing investigation. and reporting of fraud to appropriate entities
  • Support team to mitigate fraud by reviewing policies, and emerging technology.
  • Review and implement policies to increase efficient and productivity
  • Maintain technology requirements and suggest updates as needed

Other Duties

  • Review systems and processes and implement updates as applicable with leadership team
  • Provide support as needed with billing, timekeeping, and authorization discrepancies.
  • Participate in advocacy efforts pertinent in support the population served.
  • Play an active role in the support and involvement of community events and functions
  • Other projects and activities as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • No supervisory responsibilities required

Working Conditions And Physical Requirements

  • Primary activities are conducted within a well-lit, climate-controlled office
  • Frequent trips to client/prospect locations require outdoor travel and potential exposure to unpleasant weather.
  • Essential activities are conducted away from the local office and within various settings
  • Travel to other company locations and event locations throughout the state of Florida
  • Ability to bend, stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time and possess the normal range of body motion
  • Must be able to work effectively under stress of daily travel, deadlines, and commitments
  • Must lift or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle, climb stairs, and carry necessary marketing materials
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, health care operations or related field. An equivalent combination of education and applicable experience may be considered
  • 3+ year experience in an administrative, fundraising or sales role in the I/DD or human service field.
  • Experience working in a provider/provider agency position under State/Federal or privately funded health care programs
  • Proven track record of business growth
  • Prior experience with APD and/or AHCA funded services a plus
  • Prior experience with contract compliance a plus

Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Knowledge and ability to apply effective sales techniques
  • Possess intermediate computer skills and the ability to compose routine reports and correspondence
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Must understand and apply effective human relationship management principles
  • Must understand the Microsoft Office Suite product/programs
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations

  • Must have the ability to analyze impact and drive results

Requirements
