Description

As a Staff Accountant, you will ensure proper accounting of revenue and cost recognition, daily/monthly reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and multi-company consolidation. You will impact our business by providing accounting support.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy. As a Staff Accountant, you’ll meticulously review financial records, ensuring that transactions are correctly recorded and reconciled.
  • Organize and update financial records. You’ll maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data, making it easier for our team to analyze and make informed decisions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
  • Recommend ways to improve workflows. Your insights will contribute to our financial success by identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare documentation for the accounting team to review and analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues. Your attention to detail will be crucial during audits.
  • Support and connect with other accounting staff and accounting managers
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with functions, formulas, and data manipulation is essential
  • Strong accounting skills, including knowledge of GAAP principles and reconciling accounts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot accounting setups and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong report preparation skills.
  • Problem-Solver with attention to details.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
