MDM Integration Specialist (100% Remote)

The Mission:

The Decennial Census plays a critical role in our nation's governance, informing congressional representation and guiding the allocation of $1.5 trillion in federal funding each year. In preparation for 2030, T-Rex is seeking highly skilled and motivated Integration Specialists to join the 2026 Census Test IT (26CT) Integration program.

The Decennial requires innovative, scalable IT solutions to support the count of every person living in the United States and its territories. Decennial systems must scale to process millions of daily responses, support the largest non-military workforce mobilization in the world (350k+ workers), and maintain the highest standards of data security and individual privacy.

The Job:

As a Senior Integration Specialist on this program, you'll play a key role in laying the groundwork for the design and integration of the technology infrastructure that will underpin this high-profile mission. Integration Specialists are responsible for ensuring that all components of the 26CT systems work together seamlessly, efficiently, and securely. You'll develop and mature advanced systems that:

1. Facilitate comprehensive data collection using cloud computing, mobile technology, and data analytics
2. Support nationwide field operations, enabling coverage of hard-to-reach populations
3. Improve government efficiency with the use of modern technologies that reduce complexity and drive right-size scaling to meet operational demands

The 26CT Integration program involves critical preparatory work for the 2030 Decennial Census. As a Senior Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for various aspects of planning, analyzing, and implementing innovative IT solutions that form the backbone of this national undertaking, including, but not limited to:

1. Designing and integrating mobile device solutions, field IT infrastructure, and identity management systems to support nationwide data collection
2. Developing and implementing an integrated operations center and help desk system to manage and monitor census operations in real-time
3. Conducting comprehensive gap analysis and risk assessments to ensure all systems meet operational requirements
4. Planning and executing rigorous testing to validate solution interoperability, scalability, and performance under realistic operational conditions
5. Collaborating closely with Census Bureau teams and stakeholders to align technical solutions with operational needs
6. Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation and solution architecture design recommendations and providing actionable insights to inform planning for the 2030 Census

Responsibilities:

As an Integration Specialist focused on Mobile Device Management (MDM), you will be responsible for ensuring that the 26CT is fully mobile-enabled and an MDM solution that is scaled to support expected test workloads and, importantly, fully analyzed for scalability to support 2030 peak operations. You ll make recommendations to optimize for future scale.

1. Hands-on experience with MDM platforms such as VMware Workspace ONE, Microsoft Intune, and MobileIron
2. Experience developing solutions to support large-scale mobile workforces (10k+ preferred)
3. Expertise in developing device provisioning, application deployment, and security compliance policies
4. Proficient in integrating MDM with enterprise identity management systems like Okta, Azure AD, and Microfocus (OpenText)
5. Knowledge of Android Enterprise and iOS DEP programs for large-scale device enrollment and management

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

1. Ability to use creative problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges
2. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
3. Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
4. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

1. Experience working in a government or public sector environment is a plus
2. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field desired
3. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Cisco, PMP) are a plus

EDUCATION LEVEL: BA/BS with 5+ years experience leading projects in one of the skill areas above
