Pay Range: Up to $67,000 / year depending on experience

Job Description:

The IT Systems Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and maintenance of our IT systems, focusing on Fortinet firewalls, switches, routers, and Dell servers. This role also includes managing VMware environments and Azure-based services. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background in system administration, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize the infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with Fortinet firewalls, switches, and routers .
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Dell servers and related Dell hardware.
• Oversee and manage VMware environments hosted on on-premise and Azure platforms.
• Ensure system stability, security, and performance across all platforms.
• Monitor and maintain network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Implement security policies and handle patch management for all systems.
• Perform regular system backups and manage disaster recovery processes.
• Collaborate with the IT team on system upgrades, new implementations, and technology improvements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Provide technical support to internal users as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of relevant work experience in IT systems administration.
• Experience managing Fortinet firewalls, switches, and routers .
• Hands-on experience with Dell hardware and servers .
• Strong knowledge of VMware environments and Azure cloud services.
• Proficient with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fortinet certifications (e.g., NSE4, NSE5) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Azure cloud services .
• VMware certifications or equivalent experience.
