seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and enhancement of our Oracle database environments. They will ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of our databases, and provide expert guidance on best practices relating to database management.

Key Responsibilities

Database Management

Manage and maintain Oracle databases to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Implement and maintain database security, including the creation and maintenance of users, roles, and access privileges.
Monitor database performance and perform tuning activities to optimize efficiency.
Perform regular backups and recovery operations, ensuring minimal data loss and downtime.
Database Design and Implementation

Design and implement database solutions to support business applications and initiatives.
Work with development teams to design database schemas, tables, stored procedures, and other database objects.
Develop and implement strategies for database growth, scalability, and capacity planning.
Support and Troubleshooting

Provide expert-level support for database-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolution of database problems.
Collaborate with application developers to resolve database-related performance issues.
Conduct root cause analysis of database issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Documentation and Reporting

Maintain comprehensive documentation of database environments, configurations, and procedures.
Produce regular reports on database performance, usage, and security metrics.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for database management.
Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master s degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing large-scale Oracle database environments. Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
Proficient in Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle GoldenGate.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other database management tools.
Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming languages.

Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification is highly desirable.

Strong Oracle tech stack experience: Oracle DB, EBS Applications, Fusion Middleware, Exadata.

SRE experience including scripting in Python or Shell, automation, monitoring, OS and network troubleshooting, and GitHub.
Candidates with prior experience in LinkedIn, Google or Cisco is preferred
