What you will do:

  • Oversee, grow, evolve, and mature a QA organization
  • Lead and mentor managers who oversee teams of 15+ employees focused on functional and automated testing.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products
  • Devise effective test plans and execute rigorous testing procedures
  • Provide insightful analysis of test results to drive quality improvements
  • Manage external staffing contracts, including vendor management experience and outsourced QA teams. This includes managing invoices, hours, and capacity planning
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production Deployment and Operations, and Quality Assurance, to drive quality initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in software testing practices

What you will need to be successful:

  • Proven experience in a strategic QA leadership role, overseeing large teams and managing offshore teams
  • Strong technical background with an understanding of tools such as Selenium, Qtest, UFT, and others
  • Experience in vendor management, particularly with outsourced QA teams
  • Ability to lead and mentor managers and their teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
  • Experience with the strategy behind hiring and building out programs in QA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
