Electromechanical/ UNIX Hardware Test Engineer (ONSITE)

Please note that this is a 6 month contract position.

Top three non-negotiable skills:
Electro-mechanical hardware testing
Fixtures setup, test execution, data collection and documentation
Script modification, test setup debugging and trouble shooting

Qualifications Required:
Engineering degree in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical engineering
3 years industry experience in electrotechnical hardware test setup and execution
Knowledge of programming concepts and ability to modify existing scripts (Python and Unix)
Excellent reporting and documentation skills
Experience using data acquisition systems Preferred:
Experience with testing robotically assisted surgical systems or similar capital equipment is highly desirable
Intermediate knowledge of automation and servo control systems is a plus
Work experience within Medical Device manufacturing environment is an asset

Responsibilities
Support development of test benches and test execution for subsystem and subassemblies of electro-mechanical hardware during design development and reliability testing.
Set up test benches and computers based on released protocols/instructions.
Debug and modify existing test scripts
Execute tests and collect test data based on test instructions
Document results and report it to engineers
