Navigator Recruiting client has an excellent opportunity for someone with office administration skills (ideally with some experience supporting a CPA firm or property management firm) who is seeking a flexible role working in an office from 10 am - 2 pm on most days. This small public accounting firm in DTC (Denver Tech Center) is close to Belleview Ave. & I-25. The firm provides tax reutrns for clients as well as litigation support and valuation services. The owner also has a property managment business. Work directly for and with the owner, a CPA, and be responsible for reception duties, client contact, filing, some tax return processing, and property management support. This is a part-time role where the chosen individual would work up to 40 hours/week during busy season (Jan. - Apr.) and then 20 hours/week during the slower non-busy season (May - Dec.). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is assertive, proactive and pleasant to be essentially the “face” of this small professional CPA firm.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls; take initial information and route calls appropriately
  • Administrative duties such as filing, sorting and mailing and processing tax returns
  • Property management support (invoicing tenants, arranging for repairs, etc.)
  • Other general office duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ office management experience, ideally in a CPA (public accounting) firm or property management office
  • Tax return processing experience is helpful but not required
  • Basic MS Word and Excel knowledge
  • Excellent communication and people-skills
  • Experience with CCH ProSystem fx tax software and QuickBooks is helpful but not required
  • Someone who is assertive, proactive and pleasant and who enjoys serving clients and has a passion to continue to grow and learn!
