Job Title: Data Integration Developer

Purpose: The Data Integration Developer is responsible for developing and executing ETL processes to ensure efficient and reliable data loading with a focus on maintaining high data quality. The role involves creating reports, dashboards, and data tools to enhance business-user capabilities, as well as developing technical solutions to improve data access and usage. This role also includes aggregating and analyzing data to provide actionable insights to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute ETL code, primarily using complex SQL scripts, with the ability to leverage other technologies as needed.
  • Analyze, validate, and improve existing ETL routines while communicating potential impacts.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers, Infrastructure Architects, and key business users to design and develop data models and ETL processes.
  • Provide data analysis and validation support to the Software Engineering team through the use of extensive SQL queries.
  • Design, configure, and manage all aspects of the Data Integration Framework.
  • Offer guidance and implement Data Warehouse solutions, both on-premise and in the cloud, while adhering to best practices in data integration and modeling (Dimensional Modeling, Denormalized Data Structures, OLAP, Data Warehousing concepts).
  • Define and enforce Data Integration best practices within the data management environment.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with database management systems, ETL/ELT systems, business intelligence tools, and system testing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (SQL, Python).
  • In-depth understanding of data exchange formats and database design.
  • Advanced knowledge of data movement and integration concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and workloads.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple customer service demands.
  • Must be able to provide positive customer service to both internal and external customers, including those in challenging situations.
