Job Summary:

A leading organization is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a dynamic team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data science, model development, and machine learning. This role requires someone capable of building models from scratch and working independently to derive insights from complex data. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement machine learning models from the ground up to address business needs.
  • Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to derive actionable insights.
  • Utilize statistical methods and machine learning techniques to create predictive and prescriptive models.
  • Work independently to process, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Communicate findings clearly through reports and visualizations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuously optimize models and improve accuracy through testing, tuning, and algorithm refinement.
  • Stay current with new methodologies and technologies in data science to ensure innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 11-15 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or machine learning roles.
  • Expertise in building models from scratch using tools like Python or R, with libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Proven track record of working independently and managing end-to-end data science projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of big data frameworks such as Hadoop or Spark.
  • Advanced degree (Master s or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
