Job Description:
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; Master s degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience leading complex and strategic communications
  • aaS experience is a plus
  • Experience working with and influencing executive leadership and cross-functional teams, leading cross-functional projects from conception to completion with full autonomy and self-direction
  • Change Management experience, certification preferred
Skills
  • Adaptability: Ability to balance competing priorities and to manage several time-sensitive projects at once, with minimal direction, in a fast-paced environment and complex stakeholder mapping.
  • Strong listening skills: Rapidly understanding business situations, identify target audiences, understand key messages points, and connect the dots. Able to accept feedback and adapt to requirements.
  • High proficiency in verbal, written, and graphical communication: Proficient in US English and ability to align with the HPE brand voice
  • Expertise and creativity with PowerPoint: Together with MSWord, and Excel, social media, video, and all communication vehicles
  • Brand and marketing experience: Ability to apply HPE brand and use marketing personas and marketing and promotional techniques
  • Experience working with and advising VP-level leadership in communication approaches and content
  • Strong creative, problem-solving and out of the box thinking with ability to work with challenging, undefined problems.
  • Excellent analytical skills: Ability to identify messaging within data and to tell the story in a consumable way.
  • Collaboration and teamwork are essential
Critical Success Factors
  • Ability to connect the dots and tell a story working with SMEs across the organization to dig out the relevant talking points and supporting data
  • Building a network people you can turn to bounce ideas and round-out the story. Often these are people you will also help and support with their work. Two-way.
  • Uplevelling messaging for an exec audience typically the input you get from team members will need to be uplevelled and moved from tactical to strategic
  • Proactivity always thinking about how it could be better, how you could get in front of it, suggesting frameworks and outlines before you have a full briefing
  • Visualization PowerPoint skills are critical to success in this role
