Job Role: Configuration Manager

Job Location: Remote but must be in the following states - DC, MD, VA, WV, NC, PA, DE, NY, NJ, TX, FL

Job Type: Contract to Hire (6 to 12 months)

Job Description:

• 8+ years of total experience, with at least 4 years of combined experience in CMDB, CSDM, and Configuration Management in an IT operations, managed services, or service delivery environment.
• Lead and manage the end-to-end CMDB processes, ensuring governance, quality, and best practices.
• Basic knowledge of the ITIL framework is required
• Oversee ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and CSDM with strong hands-on experience in these areas.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders to ensure effective configuration management processes and strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a CMDB analyst, handling both technical and operational aspects of CMDB management.
• Ensure compliance, completeness, and correctness of CMDB data (the "3 C's").
• 100% remote role, but candidates must reside in specific U.S. states (DC, MD, VA, WV, NC, PA, DE, NY, NJ, TX, FL).

Preferred:

• Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) Discovery
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 3 or 4 Certification preferred, or equivalent experience.
