Job Title: Warehouse Control System Developer - IBM WebSphere
Location: Issaquah, WA (Onsite - 3 days per week)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced WCS Developer to join our development team to work on global eCommerce solutions for a Fortune 50 company. The ideal candidate will lead design sessions, develop new features, and ensure high-quality deliverables by following best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a global B2B eCommerce platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop features for a global eCommerce website using IBM WebSphere/HCL Commerce Server (WCS).
Lead design sessions and code reviews for various projects to expand the eCommerce platform.
Create conceptual and detailed technical design documents.
Provide accurate and timely project estimates (work breakdown schedules).
Document and execute unit and integration tests.
Define and implement standards and best practices for software development.
Participate in code reviews in various capacities (coordinator, owner, reader, recorder, observer).
Offer 3rd-level application support for production components.
Regular, reliable attendance at the assigned workplace.
Required Experience & Skills:
8+ years of experience in WCS development, including hands-on experience with WCS modules such as Order, Payment, Catalogue, Member, Promotion, Checkout, Shipping, and Data Loads.
8+ years of experience in UI development using HTML, JavaScript, React, and CSS.
6+ years of experience working with DB2, with additional experience in MS SQL or Oracle.
Strong understanding of object-oriented concepts and applied UML.
Experience with Java technologies such as EJB, JMS, JSP, Web Services, SOAP, and XML.
Proven experience leading projects through formal SDLC, including team leadership.
Experience in integrating microservices with UI frameworks like React.js.
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to WCS versions 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, and 9.1 (IBM WebSphere/HCL Commerce Server) is a plus.
Additional Responsibilities:
Lead the creation of High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD).
Develop and document software configurations and test plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify project requirements and implement solutions.
Support Project Managers in day-to-day project execution.
Monitor and optimize development performance for cost, efficiency, and quality.
Provide mentorship and leadership to team members.
Performance Metrics:
Adherence to engineering processes, coding standards, and timelines.
Number of technical issues uncovered, defects in code, and post-delivery issues.
Engagement with customer feedback and satisfaction levels.
Team management, including minimizing attrition and maintaining project engagement.
Certifications: Not required but relevant technology certifications are beneficial.
Onsite Requirements:
3 days onsite per week at Issaquah, WA location.
