Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with Top Security Clearance and CompTIA+ certification for a remote position. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) in production environments, expertise in GoldenGate replication and Data Guard, and a strong understanding of Oracle database performance tuning, backup/recovery procedures, and monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, configure, and maintain Oracle RAC clusters from scratch across multiple data centers with multi-node configurations.

Manage GoldenGate active-active replication across data centers for high availability and data consistency.

Administer Data Guard for active-passive Disaster Recovery (DR) configurations.

Perform regular DB backup/recovery tasks, handle alerts, and monitor production environments.

Implement and manage Oracle Grid Infrastructure for comprehensive DB performance monitoring and fine-tuning.

Ensure efficient log retention, alert setup, and proactive monitoring for database performance.

Apply Oracle patches and deploy necessary packages in accordance with security and operational requirements.

Collaborate with application development teams to perform SQL performance tuning and provide guidance on writing efficient SQL queries.

Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues to ensure optimal system performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Active Top Security Clearance (Mandatory)

CompTIA+ Certification (Mandatory)

Proven experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments with hands-on expertise in:

Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters)

GoldenGate for active-active replication

Data Guard for disaster recovery

Oracle Grid Infrastructure

Proficiency in DB performance tuning, backup/recovery, and production alert monitoring.

Experience in SQL performance tuning and ability to assist development teams with efficient SQL code.

Strong understanding of Oracle patch management and deployment of DB packages.

Familiarity with monitoring tools, logs retention, and proactive alert setups.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in highly secure environments and managing sensitive data.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, especially in multi-node and cross-data center configurations.

Ability to work independently in a remote work environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
