Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Software: Write, test, and debug Perl code to create new features, maintain existing applications, and fix issues.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
  • Optimize Code: Refactor and optimize existing Perl code to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Database Management: Work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • System Integration: Develop and maintain integration with third-party systems and APIs.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for code, systems, and processes.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest trends and best practices in Perl development and other relevant technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ of experience in Perl development.
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Perl programming.
    • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
    • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
    • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
    • Understanding of web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Catalyst or Dancer is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
