Job Overview:

Business Analyst to join our team in Houston, TX, preferably with knowledge on the waste and recycling domain. The ideal candidate will have experience in gathering business requirements, writing user stories, and managing tasks in Jira. A solid understanding of Scrum is essential. This is a client-facing role, requiring the ability to work closely with stakeholders on-site to deliver optimal solutions.

Experience:
 - 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst. - Proven experience in the waste and recycling industry or a related field is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in writing user stories and working with Jira for task management.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with Scrum and other Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering & Documentation:
- Collaborate with on-site stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
- Conduct workshops and interviews with users to ensure accurate requirement capture. - Translate business needs into well-structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows.
User Story Creation & Backlog Management:
 - Develop clear and concise user stories and tasks in Jira, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Maintain a prioritized product backlog, ensuring that stories are well defined and ready for development.
Scrum Participation & Facilitation:
 - Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Process Improvement:
- Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement, providing recommendations to optimize system workflows in waste and recycling operations.
- Client-Facing Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a primary liaison between clients, business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to ensure that requirements are accurately translated into solutions.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders on-site to track progress and ensure successful outcomes.
Domain Expertise:
 - Preferred knowledge of the waste and recycling industry to provide insights and guidance in solution design.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the business.
