Our client is an established ERP software sales and implementation firm which has effectively positioned itself as a leader in helping small and medium-sized businesses adopt enterprise software solutions as they mature. A longstanding SAP Gold Partner with over two decades of experience in ERP sales and implementations, the company has ambitions to scale at a faster and more aggressive pace over the coming years.

The company has recently expanded their offerings to include Acumatica and ServiceNow, and having seen significant returns already, the Founder and CEO aims to continue to invest in the growth and development of the organization by adding a strong commercial leader to the ELT.

The company has asked B. Riley Farber Executive Search to identify a dynamic, growth-focused Vice President of Sales & Marketing to accelerate revenue growth and deliver key targets, with the objective of growing revenue and enterprise value, positioning the company for long-term success, and enhancing succession planning.

About the Vice President of Sales & Marketing Role

As a senior member of the executive team, reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy that aligns with our client’s ambitious growth objectives.

This executive role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership, marketing innovation, and a deep understanding of the enterprise software market. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional business acumen, and the ability to inspire and drive high-performance teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles within the enterprise software or technology sector
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in a competitive market
  • Strong understanding of ERP solutions (preferably SAP, Acumatica, and/or ServiceNow) and their market dynamics, particularly around small and medium-sized businesses
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Broad commercial toolkit, with demonstrated success harmonizing the activities of marketing and sales, and an understanding of client success and implementation
  • Proficiency in CRM software and marketing automation tools
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage analytics for decision-making
  • Exceptional track record in building, growing, and motivating high-performing, data-driven sales organizations within the software and technology space

Working Arrangements

Our client is based in the Los Angeles area and would prefer a local candidate working primarily on-site with the team. For exceptional candidates, our client will consider relocation or hybrid working arrangements, though frequent travel to Southern California would be expected.
