Technical Operations Specialist

Job Description: The Technical Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing the technology behind live webinars and providing general IT support across the organization. This dual role ensures smooth execution of webinars while addressing day-to-day IT issues, such as troubleshooting computers, files, internet connectivity, and printing problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full cycle of webinar/live video production, including pre-webinar setup, live streaming, and post-webinar content delivery.
• Set up and manage webinar platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GoToWebinar) and integrate them with marketing tools.
• Conduct technical tests for audio, video, and screen-sharing functions to ensure a seamless experience.
• Provide real-time technical support during live webinars to resolve any issues quickly.
• Work with speakers to prepare them for webinars, including equipment checks and platform training.
• Record, edit, and archive webinars for future use.
• Provide day-to-day IT support to employees, resolving issues with computers, files, internet connections, printers, and other office technology.
• Assist with software installations, updates, and configurations as needed.
• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues, escalating to external support when necessary.
• Maintain an inventory of hardware and software licenses and manage user accounts and permissions.
• Implement and maintain basic cybersecurity practices such as backups, firewalls, and virus protection.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in live streaming and webinar technologies.
• Familiarity with webinar platforms and video conferencing tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving IT-related issues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, including both webinar production and IT support.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Technical knowledge of common IT systems, network troubleshooting, and AV equipment.
• Previous experience in a dual IT and media production role is a plus.
