Job Overview
The Technical Analyst uses DevOps practices and tools to analyze and deliver predictable and repeatable solution design artifacts that enable continuous solution delivery by domain DevOps and operations teams.

Job Description:

  • A Technical Analyst in the CMDB Governance Team is a Service Now CMDB Librarian / Data Stewart who will:

  • Identify, prioritize and remediate CMDB data quality issues.

  • Ensure that ServiceNow configurations and processes adhere to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Ensure that users have a positive experience with the ServiceNow platform, meeting their needs and expectations effectively

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and end users like application owners, network engineers, hardware asset distribution center, retail business unit to remediate data issues as needed.

  • Work in a dynamic team environment and experienced in Agile process.


Must Have Experience/Requirements:

Skills:

  • ServiceNow CMDB Configuration Item (CI) lifecycle mgmt.. experience and knowledge

  • Performs operational activities as defined by Configuration Management policies and procedures

  • Works with the user community for training and/or direction in supporting processes

  • Work to fulfill Configuration Management Service Requests as assigned

  • Oversees the design, coding and testing of tool changes/reports as needed

  • Collects, reports, and validates metrics as required

  • Identifies and reports non-compliance situations

  • Performs Configuration Management audits as directed

  • Identifies Service Improvement opportunities

  • Supports the creation of the CI Librarian process, activities, and procedures to include CI registration procedures, access controls, and privileges.

  • Ensures the correct roles and responsibilities are defined in the CI Librarian plan/procedures.

  • Works with other CMDB roles to tag and track all Configuration Items and to identify their purpose and ownership

  • Proposes/concurs with the ServiceNow Architects on CIs to be uniquely identified with naming conventions.

  • Ensures developers and configuration system users comply with identification standards.

  • Liaises with Configuration Librarian on population of asset (ITAM) and configuration management system (CMDB).

  • Performs configuration audits to ensure physical inventory is consistent with the configuration management database (CMDB initiating corrective action through Change Control. Accepts baselined products from third parties for distribution.

  • Builds system baselines for promotion and release. Maintains project status information and status accounting records and reports.



  • Proficient in modern software development, integration and delivery practices using DevOps and Agile methodologies

  • Hands on experience with micro-service based service architectures, their components and supportive database technologies


Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of degree, equivalent industry experience may be considered.

Base Pay Range: $69,000 - $124,500

Corporate Bonus Target: 10%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
