Embark on a transformative journey as a SDET Lead. At Barclays, our vision is clear -to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. As SDET Lead you will be responsible for coordinating with TSYS build, business and QE teams across the entire cards platform. In this role you will validate and review the functionality of the TSYS setup options from the OMR level validations to the functional workflows. You will also be responsible for preparing test plans, test data creation, conditioning and test results review with business. You will be responsible for fulfilment and servicing to regulatory and compliance aspects with emphasis on the customer experience-based journeys while working on functional validations. Able to KT and act as SME in TSYS green screens for other resources when new options/workflows get implemented.

To be successful as a SDET Lead you should:
  • Expert knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Karate and Selenium to execute automation scripts and working knowledge of Selenium, Karate, TestNG, Unix to develop and run automation scripts
  • Practical experience in evaluating the issue and document the steps and develop the QE Framework from scratch for automation. Experience in Agile, SQL, MongoDB and Oracle DB.
  • Ample problem solving, scheduling and prioritizing skills, self-motivated and progressively thinking outside the box is pivotal to this position. Ample oral and written communication skills


Other highly valued skills include:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience of Automation scripting in Selenium, Karate, Java, TestNG, See test and Unix.
  • Experience of Solid Release Management expertise using Jenkins, Build Management tools or similar technologies.
  • Experience with software management.

This role is based out of our office in Whippany, New Jersey.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability.

Accountabilities
  • Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Creation and execution automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues. .
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.
  • Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
