We are seeking a full-time skilled and proactive Information Technology Manager to lead the company's IT operations and infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a growing team in Billerica, MA. As a hands-on IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company s Microsoft 365 environment; managing all company hardware and software applications; managing licenses; providing direct troubleshooting for hardware and software issues; assessing, managing, and ensuring the security and integrity of the company's IT systems; and dynamically adjusting IT needs as the company grows.

The ideal candidate will be technically adept, detail-oriented, and able to balance day-to-day IT support with larger strategic initiatives related to cybersecurity, system optimization, and employee productivity. This is a hands-on role that will require you to manage several projects simultaneously and work closely with employees at all levels within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Microsoft 365 & Software Application Management:

  • Manage and administer the company s Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange, SharePoint, Defender, Intune, OneDrive, Teams, and other applications.
  • Ensure optimal performance, integration, and security of all software applications used within the company.
  • Oversee license management, user permissions, policies, and account setup for employees.
  • Stay updated on new Microsoft 365 features and relevant software updates to recommend improvements.

2. IT Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide hands-on support to employees for a variety of IT issues, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Ensure rapid and effective response to help desk requests, either through direct action or by coordinating with external support vendors when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all troubleshooting and support activities.

3. Cybersecurity Management & Monitoring:

  • Create, implement, and oversee the company s cybersecurity policies and protocols.
  • Monitor the network, systems, and applications for security breaches, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and regulatory standards, including OS and software patching, use of MFA, password managers, and VPN connections outside of the office.
  • Lead efforts in risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for employees on cybersecurity awareness and safe IT practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT management or similar hands-on IT roles.
  • Strong experience managing Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Desired experience with one or more of the following: Acumatica (Enterprise Resource Planning), ESET (Internet Security), UpChain (Product Lifecycle Management, HubSpot (Customer Relations Management), Solidworks (Computer Aided Design).
  • Expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including threat prevention, detection, and incident response.
  • Expert knowledge of IT best practices, polices and regulations.
  • Strong project management skills, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical employees.
  • Experience managing IT vendors and service providers.
