Our client is a renowned luxury jewelry brand from London. They are seeking an Operations & Logisitics Assistant with a background in luxury goods or jewelry. The Operations & Logistics Assistant will be responsible for optimizing production workflows, managing supply chain logistics, and ensuring the timely delivery of our luxury products to both physical retail locations and eCommerce customers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen understanding of the luxury goods market, and experience in logistics for both wholesale and direct-to-consumer models.

Job Title: Operations & Logistics Manager

Location: New York, New York

Salary: Up to $80,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

- End-to-end operations management: Oversee the entire operations process, from raw material sourcing to final product distribution for both retail and eCommerce customers.

- eCommerce fulfillment: Ensure seamless and timely delivery of eCommerce orders, coordinating with warehouse teams and third-party logistics partners to meet delivery deadlines.

- Inventory management: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and manage inventory across multiple sales channels (retail, eCommerce, wholesale) to prevent overstock or shortages.

- Supply chain optimization: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure efficient supply chain processes, including negotiation for cost-effective and reliable shipping solutions.

- Warehouse and distribution oversight: Manage warehousing operations to ensure products are handled, stored, and shipped according to brand standards.

- Logistics strategy: Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery times, reduce costs, and ensure high customer satisfaction for global shipments, with particular focus on international compliance and regulations.

- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and sales teams to ensure operations align with company objectives and upcoming product launches.

- Vendor and partner management: Establish and maintain relationships with logistics providers, couriers, and customs brokers, negotiating terms to ensure the best rates and services.

- Data and performance monitoring: Utilize ERP systems to track inventory, shipments, and order statuses. Establish KPIs to measure efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

- Process improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of operations and reduce shipping times.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.

- Experience in operations and logistics, with a focus on luxury goods, jewelry, or eCommerce fulfillment.

- Experience with inventory management, global shipping logistics, and eCommerce delivery solutions.

- Proficiency in ERP systems and logistics management software.

- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive results.

- Knowledge of international logistics, customs, and compliance regulations.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
