What You'll Do:

As a Principal Designer on the Experience Design team, you will define the design vision and strategy for your product area, leading multiple projects and designers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and values. The team is committed to delivering best-in-class sports, playback, and lean-back experiences. This role demands a visionary mindset, overseeing the execution of design initiatives while driving collaboration and innovation across the organization. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products, ensuring design excellence at every stage.

As a Principal Designer, you will:

  • Deliver production-ready UX designs that align with business and UX goals for both domestic and international audiences.
  • Identify actionable insights and ensure alignment with long-term design and product strategies.
  • Drive stakeholder and leadership alignment around research insights and design decisions.
  • Rapidly advance the progress of existing work (experience designs, UX guides, information architecture, visual designs, etc.) to project completion.
  • Collaborate with the larger UX team during ideation and concept explorations throughout project lifecycles, facilitating and driving UX solutions, discussions, and planning while maintaining project oversight.
  • Lead others and grow talent by providing creative direction and mentorship to designers, defining patterns and practices for the team and the product, and sharing findings with fellow designers.
  • Maintain a critical eye and obsessive attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a degree in design, computer science, human factors, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 10 years of relevant work experience as a design professional, with a strong track record in product design.
  • Demonstrated experience leading design teams and guiding others through the creative process.
  • Skilled at effectively communicating design solutions and concepts to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity.
  • Deep understanding of interaction design principles and how they apply to digital products.
  • Advanced fluency with design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring high-quality design outputs.
  • In-depth experience in UX design, prototyping, and motion graphics, adhering to best practices in these areas.
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a deadline-driven environment, delivering high-quality results.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing solid design work across web, mobile, and digital media platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-platform usability standards and UI specifications.
  • Familiarity with platforms like Roku, Fire TV, Samsung, Apple TV, X1, and similar.
  • Experience with accessibility, localization, and internationalization best practices, ensuring inclusive and global user experiences.

Salary range: $180,000 - $225,000.
