Voy has been retained by a high-profile international real estate investments holdings company for a Senior Asset Management / Director of Asset Management in LA. Our Client is backed by one of the world’s largest engineering & construction companies and our client’s current portfolio in the US spans investments from luxury hotels to premium rentals to creative retail spaces.

The Candidate will play a key role in asset management of the company portfolio while also coordinating/managing third-party service providers. Candidate should have the experience to improve property performance, maximize property value and investment returns through reduced expenditures when possible, finding the most consistent and highest sources of revenue, and mitigating liability and risk.

Please note that some level of Mandarin Chinese is required to perform this job well (ideally fluent in reading, writing & speaking). Candidates must also be based in Southern California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly and weekly financial reports, including P&L statements, cash flow projections, and balance sheets. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities to improve financial performance.
  • Work closely with hotel managers to identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions. Focus on enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and improving the overall bottom line.
  • Maintain regular communication with hotel managers to monitor progress, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with the company’s financial and operational goals.
  • Assist in evaluating potential investment opportunities, including identifying acquisition targets and conducting due diligence. Develop and implement exit strategies for portfolio assets to maximize returns.
  • Oversee the management of capital expenditures, ensuring that investments are aligned with long-term asset strategy and deliver optimal returns.
  • Regularly visit properties within the portfolio to assess operations, meet with hotel managers, and ensure that all strategies and standards are being effectively implemented.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum five years of experience managing hotel and hospitality properties.
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills using Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in interfacing with business partners, lenders, and consultants.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed to visit and assess properties
