Responsibilities:

Strategic Communication Planning:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with our business goals and project needs, ensuring the clarity and accessibility of technical information for non-technical audiences.

Brand Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain the organization’s brand identity across all communication channels, positioning Compass Technology as a critical partner in growth at Compass and the best place for technology talent to work, leveraging external channels like website and social media.

Content Development:

  • Create compelling content for various platforms, including email, presentations, sales RFPs, support channels, intranets (Sharepoint), and more. Simplify technical jargon and complex information to engage target audiences and promote brand awareness.

Internal Communications:

  • Facilitate internal communication processes to ensure alignment, transparency, and engagement among team members, effectively conveying technical updates and initiatives to non-technical colleagues.
  • Proactive preparedness: Help develop plans and resources to speed up and improve the effectiveness of crisis communication and unforeseen outages.

Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Building relationships at all levels of the organization is critical in this role. This person must act as a quarterback, receiving information from all business areas and orchestrating processes to create effective communications.

  • Natural Storyteller
    • Written storytelling is one of the most critical skills this person must have. The ability to build a narrative to create emotion and influence with technical concepts is a skill that must be at the forefront of this individual’s toolbox. They need to know how to communicate ideas through slides and verbal presentations.

  • A Curious Leader
    • Taking ownership and having high levels of commitment and integrity are key to this role. This individual must love to search out areas for improvement and elevation, influencing positive change for our associates and the organization. They must also be collaborative and high-performing.

  • Experienced with:
    • Advanced-level experience with Microsoft Office Suite in a Mac or PC operating office environment, OneDrive, Slack, or other project management tools.
    • Mailchimp or other Email Marketing
    • Demonstrated experience developing, directing, and executing integrated strategic communication plans
    • Experience with some graphic design tools, such as Canva, is a plus
    • Experience with data analytics on campaign outcomes is a plus

    • Change Management
    • Outage/Alert emails
    • General understanding of cyber security
    • General understanding of enterprise technology terms
