Job Summary:

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. This individual will work closely with the marketing, IT, and CRM teams to configure the platform, manage user accounts, oversee data integration, and ensure marketing campaigns are running smoothly. The administrator will also assist in troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and providing technical support to users.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Platform Administration:

    • Manage and maintain the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, including system configuration, data integration, and system monitoring.
    • Set up and manage business units, user roles, permissions, and security settings.
    • Monitor and ensure platform performance and security compliance.
  2. Data Management:

    • Oversee data imports, management of data extensions, and audience segmentation.
    • Ensure data quality and integrity within Marketing Cloud.
    • Work with stakeholders to ensure the correct data is available for email, SMS, and social media marketing campaigns.
  3. Support and Troubleshooting:

    • Provide technical support to Marketing Cloud users, troubleshoot issues, and assist with escalations.
    • Collaborate with Salesforce support and other third-party vendors to resolve any platform-related issues.
    • Document processes and provide training to users on new features and updates.
  4. Integration and API Management:

    • Manage integration between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other systems, such as CRM (Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud) or third-party applications.
    • Configure APIs and data connectors for data synchronization.
    • Monitor and optimize data flow between integrated platforms.
  5. Reporting and Analytics:

    • Generate and manage reports for campaign performance, email deliverability, and system usage.
    • Leverage Marketing Cloud s analytics tools to provide insights and recommendations for future campaigns.
    • Assist in developing KPIs and metrics for campaign effectiveness.
  6. Platform Enhancements and Updates:

    • Stay updated on Salesforce Marketing Cloud s latest releases, features, and enhancements.
    • Implement new features and upgrades in collaboration with IT or Salesforce partners.
    • Ensure continuous improvement in system functionality and user adoption.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator or similar role.
    • Experience with Salesforce platforms, especially Marketing Cloud, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Mobile Studio.
    • Experience with SQL, AMPscript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS for email customization and segmentation.
    • Knowledge of marketing automation and data management best practices.
  • Certifications:
    • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator
    • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture, data structures, and tools.
  • Knowledge of data integration, APIs, and ETL processes.
  • Proficient in email marketing, audience segmentation, and automation.
