Website Copywriter

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Website Copywriter for a part-time contract assignment with one of our premier Hospitality Services clients in Parsippany, NJ. This role will be remote.

Part-Time 10-15 hours per week
Open to candidates in EST or CST timezones

Responsibilities :
Support day-to-day firm website copy and content updates ensuring BAU tasks are accomplished and the team can remain focused on strategic franchise marketing communications. This role is responsible for crafting and editing firm website copy for relevant franchise news and resource updates, following brand and style guidelines; authoring and publishing new firm website pages; helping manage content structure; and performing quality assurance on firm website content. This temporary role will focus primarily on managing content update requests, drafting new or updating existing copy, publishing updated or new documents and resources (as provided by business teams), and developing and publishing imagery on firm website.

• Work with departments/business teams across the organization to manage content requests and develop timely and relevant content on firm website that franchisees need to fuel their business.
• Draft new and/or update existing copy on firm website, including 'What's New' articles.
• Publishing updated or new documents and resources as provided by business teams (requires experience with or quick learning of content management system/web publishing).
• Identify technical/publishing issues and escalate them to internal Salesforce team
• Support for standalone communication creation and distribution (if hours allow).

Required Skills:

• 2-5 years exp
• Understanding of digital copywriting and SEO principles
• Experience writing and editing website copy, including a good fluency with grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Strong organizational, time management, planning, and project management skills.
• Experience with and understanding of content management systems, web publishing standards/best practices, and measurement.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (i.e, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
• Has a strong sense of urgency and is able to meet tight deadlines.
• Exp publishing on website. Updating copy and creating new copy on website. Writing for website.

Preferred Skills:

• 3-5 years of communications / writing experience in a corporate communications or B2B environment a plus.
• Salesforce CMS and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience a plus.
• Photoshop/graphic design experience a plus.
