GIS Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a GIS Developer in Johnston, RI.

Responsibilities:
* On a daily basis, help the development team to resolve technical issues and escalate technical risks
* Make final code-level technical design decisions grounded in industry standards and design patterns to be followed by the development team
* Senior GIS Dev technical refinement ceremonies, coordinate inter-sprint technical dependencies and represent the development team during PI planning
* Perform pull request code reviews for code quality, application and security standards compliance based on approved review checklists and leveraging code scanning tools such as Veracode
* As a GIS Developer, you will review automated tests for completion, coverage and necessary complexity ensuring that all code paths including edge cases are included
* Collaborate with CI/CD resources to ensure the completion of automated deployment pipelines and creation of a robust release promotion strategy
* Perform disaster recovery planning for the solution - identify components, formulate the plan and provide necessary team members resources for disaster recovery
* Conducts performance, unit, system, integration, and quality assurance testing of applications
* Provides end user support and creates support documentation

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5 years of experience in developing applications with ESRI products, 3+ years of experience with MS Visual Studio, SQL Server, JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3
* Experience with publishing maps to ArcGIS Enterprise
* Experience with ArcGIS JavaScript SDK and web app builder
* Hands on experience in Agile Methodologies, RESTful Web Services, Information Architecture and Web standards
* Having in depth knowledge and experience in performance tuning SDE Databases
* Looking for ArcGIS/ESRI experience
* Knowledge of Data Migration, experience of ETL using safe FME, experience with general data manipulation/automation with GIS or database extract/translate/load tools
* Knowledge of ArcGIS Server product suite (10.9 and up) and strong knowledge of ArcGIS Server client APIs
* Extensive knowledge in ESRI Product suite, ArcGIS Server, Portal, ArcGIS Online
* Proficient in ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python
* Proficient in Geoprocessing application with customization, GIS application upgrade
* Good practice and design concept of GIS application architecture, GIS application lifecycle management

Preferred Skills:
* Experience with ArcGIS data service
* Hands on experience with insurance domain in the GIS space
* Previous experience with ArcGIS WorkFlow Manager Server
* Good knowledge of ArcGIS implementation on Azure cloud
* Good knowledge of MongoDB
* Advanced knowledge and experience with GIS industry
* Analyzing, identifying, and resolving application performance challenges
* Good knowledge for designing and building web interfaces
* Excellent client facing and interaction in consulting
* Demonstrated ability to support business end users and production issues

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
