Job Title: Sr. Infrastructure Architect

Duration: 5 months contract

Location: (Hybrid 1x a week) Minneapolis, MN

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Infrastructure Architect to lead a critical network infrastructure and security redesign project for one of our clients. This position will focus on enhancing the client s operationally critical systems through robust network and firewall security architecture, Active Directory redesign, and ensuring compliance with various regulatory frameworks.
• The ideal candidate will provide expert technical leadership across multiple IT infrastructure domains and work closely with the client to deliver effective security and compliance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a comprehensive network security design review, focusing on firewall technologies and network zone architectures.
• Conduct an in-depth access management design review and implement solutions to meet compliance requirements and improve operational efficiency.
• Complete compliance gap analysis, including reporting, remediation, and resolution strategy development.
• Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls, proposing innovative solutions and strategies.
• Ensure architecture and engineering solutions meet future audit and compliance needs.
• Review and update system documentation, creating new documentation as needed to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Provide technical leadership to internal teams within IT Infrastructure (Cybersecurity, Network, Server, Storage, Cloud) on the implementation of designs and architectures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the successful implementation of infrastructure redesign.

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience working with Information Security teams or related fields.
• At least 10 years of experience with Network and Firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto), with a strong foundation in firewall design, deployment, and operation.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in access management technologies (e.g., Active Directory, Entra ID).
• At least 5 years of experience with information security compliance (e.g., PCI, GDPR).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in server virtualization or cloud hosting technologies (e.g., VMWare, AWS).
• Strong organizational skills to proactively manage findings for remediation, track issue updates, and provide regular status reports.
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and documentation.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of Operational Technologies in addition to Information Technologies.
• A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• A strong background in general networking and router/switch configuration is preferred.

The projected hourly range for this position is $70-100/hr.
